  2. Lovely shot, YAM. If I am not mistaken there is an arboretum there that specializes in trees from around the world that tolerate the moist climate of the region. Did you visit the arboretum? Is there still a monastic presence?

      You are quite correct, David; the arboretum is quite something. I visitied when I first moved to the area and could still walk decent lengths. Mobility is challenging now - the place is on a steep hillside! As for the Kirk and the one remaining tower from the monastery, it would be fair to say that much of th monastic atmosphere has been well built over, but there is no doubt that there is a something special about the place just by virtue of geography. Yxx

  4. I love the dome. I did a google search for Historic Kilmun...just had to see more. Funny how one photo leads to a lot more.
