 The moth above is only an inch long!

Woo-hoooooo!  This marks the end of four months since "TAKE" took flight... and here is one of the more comical attempts at capturing the moment of launch of a black kite.  Sigh.  Late again.
Taken with the 'Nik' on auto exposure and extended to the full 26x optical plus 4x digital zoom, hence the graininess.  
(Have got to anticipate the launch before it actually happens!)

Rebuttal.  Milvus Migrans Govinda - the Indian Black Kite variant which is actually a golden brown.  Jan/Feb are the 'frisky' months... this female is protecting herself by resting by an 'armed guard'!  the male had several attempts but then thought better of it.
