TAKE ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN j

Shipping by...

Two of the same vessel taken within minutes of each other. The first is sharp and clear, but compositionally, I prefer the second one - particularly for showing the size against our wee local shrimping boat.  Ironically, when we get the big tankers and cruisers along here, this ship would become like the shrimper against them!

Which do you prefer?

  1. Prefer the 2nd with a beautiful landscape in the background and of course the shrimper for size ref,

  2. Hello,
The ship is huge compared to the little fishing boat, great photos. I always enjoy seeing the background too.
    Take care, enjoy your day!

  3. I prefer the second, not only for the comparison, but also it lacks that thing in the foreground..an antenna perhaps.

  4. I prefer the 2nd one, the perspective showing the tiny boat.. we used to sit on the beach at Tybee Island and watch the big ships pass by so close we could see what uniforms the sailors had on. Savannah Georgia is a huge shipping channel.

  5. I like the 2nd one too. I have some photos I took from Dawn Princess (2005 cruise down the inside passage of Alaska). At the time I took it my aim was on a cruise ship from Holland. When I downloaded, I noticed an itty bitty tug boat. Look like a child's toy

  6. Also a fan of the second one...and would love to see a picture of the tanker next to the cruise ship...I can imagine how small it would look!
