  4. Beautiful detail, lovely photo, Yam.
    When we bought our house, the deck looked rather like this, although not as scenic. After I put my foot through it, Dick had a new deck installed, made of an everlasting man-made product. Then he put a hot tub on top of it, so I don't have a deck to sit on. But at least my legs are safe.

    Yes, these were essentially they same sort of plank that would once have been used for decking. The platform would be covered by picnic rug but one is saved from massive invasions of ants...not the marauding bush turkeys though!!
