Wings on Wednesday -

  1. Can you have a butterfly aviary. Does the terms not relate only to an enclosure where birds are kept?

The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is the largest butterfly flight aviary and exhibit in Australia. That is to say, due to the flutteries flying freely in the domes, it is referred to as an aviary. Worth every cent of the visit - as is Birdworld. They are both at Kuranda, just outside Cairns - and you can travel there by the Kuranda Scenic Railway - fabulous! YAM xx
