TAKE THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR g

Yup. It's that (Thurs)day again. Had you all guessing at last week's offering didn't I?! It was a telegraph pole in a wee bohemian town up at the Hawkesbury River (NSW) called Brooklyn. Anyway, lots of arty types there. Someone clearly felt the pole needed some help and plugged it with fish heads and tail. The place is also a marina and has no less than three outlets for locally caught fish (with chips). Flathead is the most common - and very tasty! The pockmarking would have come from endless years of having flyers posted about fairs and fetes and town hall meetings...

This week - more aged wood.

  1. Locally caught fish with good chips sounds like gourmet food to me. We were in Wales about fifteen years ago and a restaurant there announced "Maybe the best fish and chips you have ever had." They were right. The best EVER!

  3. YAM in keeping with my poetry picture today the very first thing I thought of when I saw this photo was it reminded me of the entrances to many ranches on Western Tv shows.
