  6. I've only seen kookaburras and photos and in movies and I like there's sound but I don't know if I would like it if it was in my yard

      Oh you would, Sandra - they are intelligent birds and in my yard in Sydney there were six that kept us company... I named them Peter, Picta, Peesa, Pickled, Pepper and Piper... and knew them all individually due to different layout of head feathers. They would wait for dad to complete the barbecue and then come and take their share from our hands! A lot of the Aussie birds are quite tameable and wonderful characters. Yxx

  8. I love these birds...they have a great personality. We have them as visitors in our area of Texas during the hawk watch festival each year & I've grown to love them. And they are so photogenic.
