TAKE THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR a

Thursday's are 'anything goes' days...



I know, I know, another sneak out from my shipping obsession interest - but this didn't quite warrant a full shipping post.  This is over on the Isle of Bute, at Port Bannatyne, as viewed faaaaaaarr across the water from Toward peninsula... ferrys under maintenance.

  2. I was going to make a remark about boat houses. But, short of dry dock, what is there for maintenance?

      GOOD QUESTION!!! This is the 'patent slip' method, used for smaller length boats - a big winch system, effectively. Hmmmm check back next Tuesday! &*> Yxx

  3. Whoa that is the largest boat slip I've ever seen!!! Amazing I just noticed a tiny green tractor in the photo on the left

  4. That's really interesting! They are enormous.
    BTW It really wasn't 11 C., it was just in the lee of the house. It was more like -6!!!!
