TAKE INTERMITTENT TWENTY ONE

Christmas is coming... and 2025. I have made a decision. The DoWY blog now gains the lion's share and more of my photographs. Running one blog while living the roaming life is enough to contend with - especially if I want to get more done on the tubular channel (note to self - do better with that). Therefore, on this, My Take Intermittent's 'maturity' post, I announce it will be the last posting here. The blog will remain available for as long as Blogger permits it.

I thank the two dozen or so regular viewers of this blog page for their perseverance, and to my regular commenters, I am immensely grateful for your loyalty and support. I know all of you read over at DoWY, too, so we shall continue our pals-ship there.

"Sea Beams" by Duncan Urquhart. These are at Dysart, Fife. The artist is from Perth and the trees hewn for the work were grown in Perthshire. Each beam is from a single tree. It was installed in 2009 and is ageing well, faced as it is with the onslaught of a coastal climate.

As time progresses, I realise that the majority of my photographs are now appearing on the DoWY bloggy anyway and that there would be little difference added here. I will continue with these monthly posts for this year, but I will have to make a firm decision then whether to cease posting here and dedicate to the single blog or return to regular daily posting here if I can make proper points of difference. Thanks to those of you who have remained here... and if you haven't followed the other blog, please do think of doing so!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year, and may 2024 prove kind and pleasing to you. Despite best-laid plans, I have not been out and about again in The Grey since last summer, after all. This means that the storage files of photos have not been replenished to the levels I feel comfortable returning to full service here at the TAKE bloggy. The decision has, therefore, been made to continue with intermittent posts to keep the blog alive and let's see how this year pans out! This year, though, I am not going to tell you that it will be the first of the month for each shot to appear... because clearly, I couldn't even keep that schedule properly last year! So it will just be random postings as and when I remember. This means there may be more than one month... or it might be six weeks between posts. It'll keep you alert, eh?! Let's begin the Full Moon of Christmas Night as seen through a very rain-affected kitchen window...

I wish I could tell you this was from the Supermoon event... but no. It's from last year - but it was September. So only a year late on this count...

I am already starting to build up new archives working toward the relaunch of the Take Years full blog next January. Indeed, I may become overloaded... especially now that, as of Tuesday, I am again 'with wheels'!!! 

The summer header is as stated on it. Today's first-of-the-month offering is from the same place. You may think it helps draw water for the 'village' (which it would), but is a clever disguise of the need to keep recycling the pond water to power the mill! (I think most of you visiting here are also now following DoWY bloggy as well, but in case not, click here to see all the fun of my house-sitting Havant holiday - and ensuing adventures!)

TAKE INTERMITTENT - TWO

First of April, and, no joke, this was taken with the very new to me Pixel 7 telephone. Zoomed right in from the other side of my rather large room. It gives it a slightly 'silk flower' feel. My first ever pocket tablet, and am on that steep 'getting to know it' curve!

TAKE INTERMITTENT - ONE

Well, the 15th of Feb came and went as did the 11th blogiversary. I am just not making any quantity of new images, currently, so have taken the decision to extend the hiatus of daily posting; what I will do, however, is place an image on the first of each month in order to keep the blog alive (another blog I had let go for more than 12 months restricted access to read-only, which is why there is a 'chapter two' of Aatmaavrajanam). I have it in mind that I will restart with the next letter ('K') on the first of January 2024, thus altering, slightly, the anniversary date. Between now and then I certainly hope to have built up my photographic records once more! Meanwhile, here's the pic for March... I've been learning amigurumi crochet and this is my first wee critter, Ringo the Righteous Rhino!
