TAKE ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY SEVEN h

That's quite the texture going on there! This was taken so long ago (it's a scanned print) I don't recall the variety of cactus. Sydney Botanic Gardens has quite the range.

  1. That's an amazing cactus. Any cactus I have ever tried to grow has died in short time. I guess I am an overwaterer.

  2. Looking at those ribbons of cactus is fascinating. Probably dangerous, too.

  3. We obviously didn't get to this part of the gardens since I don't recall seeing any cacti! There were lots of great birds though, including a Channel-billed Cuckoo! And that "spiked" my interest!

Yes the gardens are alive with avian attraction. Although much rearranged in the twenty years since this photo was taken, the succulent garden is still very much there! Yxx
