It looks rather like a church. I am entirely in agreement that it would have been a shame had it not been preserved.
There is just something about arches that are so very warm and welcoming.I too am so thankful it has been repurposed.

This Victorian building at Leith Docks may once have served as an ocean terminus of some sort - and is currently utilised as the offices of Forth Ports PLC. Glad it wasn't demolished as it lends strong character to the waterfront.
