  5. i have only seen two ferries in my lifetime.. one was here where we live now, but in the 60's they built a bridge and the ferry was no more.. the other was when i was 8 in 1951, up north, i think it was NY.. barely remember it. you have more in a few pictures there than i have ever seen. i know you are an island so it makes sense

      Technically, not an island, but a peninsula... to reach my town via the road route, however, would take fully an hour+ longer than taking the ferry across the firth! Those ferries in the picture re not the ferries for Dunoon - they are actually going to an island called Bute. I give you the map reference to explore! Yxx
