TAKE TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY FIVE e

First Thursday of the final month. This year.

A variety of towers.

For those who asked last week; the chamber was a tower room at Craigmillar Castle - the chains are anti-pigeon guards!

  1. I am assuming the old building in the foreground is (was?) a church. At one time its tower would have been the tallest building around - and this one doesn't seem to have a spire.

The church - in Ipswich, Suffolk - is still active. Can't help feeling it is about to be swamped though! Yxx

  4. What a shot...if I lived to 200 I will never understand why those cranes don't break.

  5. That's a beautiful church - hope that new construction won't block its view or contrast too sharply with its architecture. Mom saw one of those cranes swinging away yesterday and was glad she had a green light and didn't have to take a chance with it toppling over on her:)

  7. I am a wee bit afraid of heights so even seeing that construction crane makes me nervous
