Rebuttal. Milvus Migrans Govinda - the Indian Black Kite variant which is actually a golden brown. Jan/Feb are the 'frisky' months... this female is protecting herself by resting by an 'armed guard'! the male had several attempts but then thought better of it.
Taken with the 'Nik' on auto all and 8x zoom.
Looks like he got the "point" from the armed guard and decided to look elsewhere. I like that you caught him in flight.

ReplyDeleteCertainly not one of his more successful 'dates'!! This is directly above my room window, so patience paid off - that about 20 other not so brilliant shots. Beginning to love digital photography!!
