TAKE FORTY ONE e

Shipping by...

The RFA "Tidespring" A136 is a brand new ship! She was launched in 2015, but not commisioned to service until November 2017 - this was taken early December, so am guessing it was her maiden voyage!!! She was built in Korea and travelled via Japan and Hawaii to get to the UK. Another photographer was alert this day... click here to see his rather more glorious shot!!!

  1. When you think of all the ships built on the Clyde over the centuries there seems to be more than a little irony that a British ship was built in Korea.

Absolutely, David; and it is a subject of much discussion here! There are ships being built here - notably the HMS Elizabeth, but not necessarily as efficiently or even to the same standard, which is disappointing... Yxx

  2. Oh Tidespring is a beauty to behold and her pop of red, life boat I presume. Look at her glide thru the water she had a long voyage to reach the UK!! OMCs that scenery of the greenery.
