It had its back to me, but am pretty sure this is a goldfinch having a rest. There was a very strong wind blowing. I am in awe of these wee things facing the ferocity!

...now, the eagle-eyed may think that YAMster's losing it, for now, she has missed an entire letter of the alphabet. However, those who know about avoiding the letter 'i' is done by motor registration admins and other areas where an 'i' can be confused for other letters or even the number one will appreciate this skip. I would also add that the very first year here was letter-less and if I am to stick to a 26-year plan, then a letter does need to be dropped - and 'i' is the most obvious. So, welcome to the "J" year!

NOW - a conundrum arose. This blog's anniversary ought to fall on the 15th. This year will be the ninth. We seem to be a week early... after a trawl of the past year's posts, I discover there was an error in August where I managed to drop a week's worth of numbers!!! Sigh... Too far back to correct. Not to fret - for the eight days between now and 15th I shall mark the anniversary with a re-run of the eight images that completed the previous eight years of blogging at MY TAKE.
