That's quite the texture going on there! This was taken so long ago (it's a scanned print) I don't recall the variety of cactus. Sydney Botanic Gardens has quite the range.
We obviously didn't get to this part of the gardens since I don't recall seeing any cacti! There were lots of great birds though, including a Channel-billed Cuckoo! And that "spiked" my interest!
Hari OM Yes the gardens are alive with avian attraction. Although much rearranged in the twenty years since this photo was taken, the succulent garden is still very much there! Yxx
That's an amazing cactus. Any cactus I have ever tried to grow has died in short time. I guess I am an overwaterer.
ReplyDeleteLooking at those ribbons of cactus is fascinating. Probably dangerous, too.

The cactus is amazing, lots of texture indeed.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day!
I like the way it looks but I sure wouldn't want to be falling into it
ReplyDeleteI would never have guessed it was scanned. It is quite detailed

Ouch! Great job on the scanning, like C, I never would have guessed!
