Wings on Wednesday -
YAM's take on the good, the bad, the ugly and
the downright hilarious in photographing birds.
Due to the exceptionally mild winter, this magpie was spotted making the base of a nest (taken through the double-glazing and at full stretch of the wee cam's lens, so not the sharpest shot!). That was a month ago. The winds of Storms Bernard and Ciara have put paid to that - for now.
Poor Magpie...the crazy weather has played havoc with his instincts.

Rebuilding is almost certainly on the agenda.
ReplyDeletePoor guy, silly weather...it seems the weather around the world has been a bit crazy
ReplyDeleteA shame for the magpie, but they are resilient, out there in nature, and it's probably started again.
ReplyDeleteThat is sure not a bad photo taken in those conditions...my little camera does not do half that good. If it does, it is one in a million.
ReplyDeleteeven the birds are confused with all this early spring weather. our oak trees are confused and think it is March and bob and I are suffering the oak tree allergies we always have in March
ReplyDeleteHello, I hope the magpie and nest survived the storm. Wishing you a great day!
ReplyDeleteThey dont migrate to warmer climes?
