TAKE TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY NINE
MOONday - last Sunday of September!
This was the last clear night before monsoon hit. Had the 'Nik' on full extension into the 4x digital as well as 26x optical zoom and auto exposure. This definitely affects the quality, but does give an ambience - rather like the old trick of smearing the lens with petroleum jelly for soft focus!!

TAKE TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN
"The amen of Nature is always a flower." (Oliver Wendell Holmes)
The Uniden pocket digital camera has deceased. However, its legacy lives on, for I have many of its offerings stored. It had its limitations, no doubt, but golly, it could also turn up some amazing things I was never expecting. It did good and constant service for six years. I miss its convenience over the Nikon for those candid moments. Whilst the 'Nik' might make a better technical job of a shot like this, I am left with a fondness for the quirkiness and character I got from the Uniden. It shall be missed.

Last
Thursday - the day when things can go haywire, or are just plain peculiar!

I am entering this in the Thursday Challenge. It is my second entry - mostly I forget, but always enjoy others' offerings!!
This week's prompt was 'BEVERAGE'.
This is a piece cut from a full colour shot taken at my niece's 18th birthday. I got stuck into it with WLPG, paring back the brightness, boosting contrast and highlights. Aim was to accentuate the champers at the back of the frame and enhance the sparkles in the glasses.
It kinda-sorta worked...
Taken with the Uniden.

Wings on
Wednesday -
YAM's
take on the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright hilarious in respect to
photographing birds.
Am now on my last three Wednesdays before leaving India. Am doing a little 'backwards sequence' so as to say goodbye to these shores on a top-note...
There will be many more pictures from here which have been worth the keeping, but here are a few to delight.
Ready? Okay. THREE...

The Tuesday Tease
Fifty words or less to tell the story of the street - go on have a go!!
"Bluey gazed longingly down the steps and along the street. He could sniff the sea on the breeze. Better still, he could sniff fish. Was there a 'chippie' down that way then? The saliva began to pool. Then the cat heard his mistress calling - Bluey, come get your tea!"
This is standing with the Queen's Park behind and looking down Easter Road, Edinburgh.
Taken with the Uniden.
