Wings on Wednesday; YAM's take on the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright hilarious in photographing birds.
These have been lurking in the Fudge's card since the spring - shame on me. A pair of sparrows brought up two broods in the nesting box on the telegraph pole at the back window... this was them refreshing the nest between batches!
this is funny about lurking in the card, after i started using my cell phone for photos, I rarely used the camera, a few weeks ago I picked it up after the hot chocolate spilled on it and was shocked to find a few photos lurking there for a whole year. none were pretty like these birds
It's encouraging to see them breeding in this manner. I have read several times of a decline in their numbers right across Europe.

ReplyDeleteCute captures of the Sparrows, they look busy taking care of their nest.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and happy week ahead!
I have just recently started letting photos sit on the card...normally I cannot wait to download them and see what is what.
ReplyDeleteBirds are the best builders. I saw documentary over the weekend about Eagles and their GINOrMOUS nest.

Very nice shots. I have always enjoyed watching wee birds grow and flourish from the time they are just eggs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great "birdy lifestyle" piece! ;-)
ReplyDeleteReally good pictures. Who puts up these boxes?
