I used to help with lambing when I was a teenager working on a farm part time, but it always seemed to be in the middle of the night in a cold pasture, never in a nice warm barn.
Hari OM Even as a girl I recall helping my grandfather and uncles with lambing up on the Scottish hillsides - nothing warm or barnish then either; often drifts of snow and as you say, nearly always dark!!! Now, farming is much more commercial and 'plush', with nurseries for the orphans and all sorts. Yxx
