Dry-stone walling is a major feature of Scottish landscape.  This one is just by the ferry pier at Rhubodach, Isle of Bute.

  2. There are so few dry stone walls here. I stopped one year and watched the workman repairing one. An art form.

  3. I'm trying to imagine the time (and talent) it took to build such a structure. There are probably many interesting stories that could be told just about the construction.
