Taken a month ago, just as the buds were looking to burst. There has been an invasion of magpies in Scotland since my original residence here. This of course means less of other birds. Here is an older, but informative article you may enjoy on this handsome gangster.

So many birds, so little time. Mind you, the bird butt file keeps increasing. We saw an eagle soar in at Stanley Park in Vancouver, but all I got was... yep!
