More Aussie finds; I actually dug in Queensland for the
Thunderegg (top left). One never knows until the egg is split what the content will be. The two in the centre found out walking, not sure what rock; and the one on the right is a small piece of rough cinnabar on a quartz base.
Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew the blue stone in the geode. Do you?

DeleteMostly agate, but they cany contain chalcedony, jasper, quartz crystal or a combination of these minerals. Yxx
The Thunderegg is cool. The Cinnabar is pretty. Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteAll very interesting, YAM. I am assuming these items were part of a shipment of goods when you left Australia, and were not in your luggage!

DeleteLOL - correct! They (and the dish most of them live in) survived one of the two extremely damaged boxes that arrived this side... Yxx
I love them all!
