This pretty girl gull was nesting right beside one of the entry points at Rothesay Castle (Isle of Bute), at ground level. 

I don't know which of us was more surprised by the discovery!

This Victorian building at Leith Docks may once have served as an ocean terminus of some sort - and is currently utilised as the offices of Forth Ports PLC. Glad it wasn't demolished as it lends strong character to the waterfront.
