TAKE ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SEVEN f

Saturday Symmetry

A casement window of the style that once opened all the way up to form a doorway. Penrith Regional Art Gallery, from the inside looking out. Beams and supports add to the patterning.

  2. I like that bright yellow trim at the top and my grandmothers house had step through windows on every wall on the outside..

Ah, that is a bronze water sculpture - serving as a downpipe from the gutters! I have a close up of one of the curves which will make an appearance, somewhere... Yxx

  4. That sort of window has always been my favorite, though I've never actually seen or used one. But in Middlemarch, and any other good English novel, the heroine has full access to a casement window. How they consumed my fascination.

  5. The wooden beams remind me of the ceiling of my grandparents house in the village.
