YAM's take on the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright hilarious in photographing birds.
I have the great good fortune of being able to sit at my desk and watch the hills and the territory between here and there. One tree, in particular, seems to attract the local birdlife. This shot of a magpie is one of my better ones, showing the beauty of the iridescent feathers on wings and tail.

At Felixstowe last summer, one of the many ships spotted plying the busy waterway was the "Francop". She was familiar to me, as she has been photographed from the Hutch a couple of times, plying the waters of the Clyde. She has also got quite the history.
