Couldn't sharpen the lens enough to make out the name - but a sea-going trawler by the look of her. Photo taken from the high lookout over Garelochead.

      LOL - 'glowing red hot' is not a term generally associated with West coast Bonny Land!!! That said, it has not completely missed out on the weather shenanigans; this shot was taken on a very warm (23'C ) day from a height - thus the angle+heat haze+salted air resulted in a blue cast to the exposure, and the lack of sharpness. (Though I am also wrangling with the fact that the Fudge is reaching an age of needing to be put out to pasture...) Yxx

  6. sorry Fudge is ready for the pasture. my Rebel was put out to pasture and I did not replace with a DSLR and now I wish I had.. I went with the zoom lens and I wish I had gotten another dslr.

      Yeah... have just begun looking at the market again and got a bit of shock at the prices. Am sure once have researched I ought to be able to get a half-decent camera for under three hundred quid, though it may be the mirrorless 'bridge' compact systems kind instead of full DSLR. I really need to watch my pennies, but this is such a major hobby for me... Yxx
