As far as I can tell this is a plain old Rock Dove, aka Feral Pigeon, a delightful addition to our cityscapes. They have been selectively bred in so many ways it defies the imagination, and were favoured objects of study by no less a luminary than Charles Darwin.
Its habitat looks pretty too.
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteThis dove looks peaceful! :)

DeleteYes - around here these are referred to just as 'dove' as compared to the leviathans that are the British Wood Piggyon,, errr. Pigeon. Yxx
Pretty capture of the dove! Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteDoves are so sweet and also not to smart. They will let us walk right up to them, no fear at all. Ours are gone now, hawk control has decimated them.
ReplyDeleteElegantly graceful.
ReplyDeleteLove the mottled white and grey!
