    I have always referred to this species as Coppersmith Barbet. Is Copper Barbet a colloquial name used where you were - in India, I presume?

      No David, you are absolutely correct... there's been a brainstorm this end! I know it as a Coppersmith too, but the fingers apparently had a different notion... hey ho... Yxx
