    The State Fair was canceled this year....

  4. Now I'm wondering if they let you pet the cows in India. Everybody always thinks I'm crazy because when I see a cow I go to the fence and they come to me and I talked to them and pet them and have been known to kiss them between the eyes. So what would they do to me if I did that in India and this one is absolutely gorgeous

      As David points out, the cow is revered in India - all breeds, but in particular, the Brahmin. Hindus do not eat beef; the bulls are hailed as the vahanas (vehicles/carriers) of the Lord whilst the cows are the mother of all, providing milk from which come also butter and cheese and from both comes the dung for fires and buildings (traditionally - and still so in rural areas). So yes, you could certainly approach the cattle - though with caution. Despite being used to human company, you still need to exercise care! Yxx
