Monday's Critters
When I first landed in OZ some thirty years ago, it was not uncommon to see koalas in the trees when driving about. Sadly the numbers have dwindled. Around Wollongong, many of the forest areas are being fenced off to try and prevent what population remains from landing itself under wheels.
So no critter in this shot, just the fence that 'proves' critters are close by...

Thank goodness for the efforts to find the safest way to keep the Kolas in the wild.
ReplyDeleteI've watched several programs on Nat GEO Wild and Animal Planet about the efforts

It confounds the imagination to contemplate how many way we have imperilled the lives of animals.
ReplyDeleteFenced off by the trespassers! Irony.
ReplyDeleteSo sad that it has come to this...but glad they are trying to preserve the remaining population
ReplyDeleteHello, that is sad that less koalas are being seen. They are cute critters. The hope the remaining population stays safe. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
ReplyDeleteI hope the fence helps, we have the same problems here in USA, not Kolas but other wild life
ReplyDeleteArranging rooms for wheels have changed the wild habitat's face. Beautiful view.
