The song of the Blackbird is surpassingly beautiful. The Nightingale gets all the press, but the Blackbird has received short shrift. It is a sound to make the sad joyful, the unkind charitable, the downcast uplifted.
What a pretty bird! I have a pair of blackbirds that nest in a tree in the front garden. I call there Cheeky and Mrs Cheeky because Cheeky will wander around the garden even when I'm out there!
Yay You for spotting the bird. I can't tell you how many times I hear them but never find them.
ReplyDeleteWish I knew more bird melodies.
Hugs HiC

ReplyDeleteOur blackbirds are red winged blackbirds. They have a grand song.
ReplyDeleteI always love when you hear the bird first and then search the skies and trees for the actual bird!
