TAKE TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE a

Saturday Symmetry

Stairs simply ARE symmetry, wouldn't you agree?  Taken with the Uniden.
this 17th century flight of stone steps is at Cramond, North of Edinburgh, Scotland.  The 'grafitti' you see  is nearly as old and if you look closely you will observe the Commandments!!

  1. I saw the graffiti at once, before I read the last line of the post. Spent some time picking out wome of the stairs. To no avail.

    Not all were there - beginning one from the top though (didn't take note so don't know the very first here);
    Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain
    Thou shalt not commit adultery
    Thou shalt not steal
    Remember the Sabbath day, keep it Holy
    Thou shalt not kill
    ...and the bottom one takes some poetic licence in saying Thou shalt not murder honour... which I think is a variation on not coveting thy neighbour's wife and property!!!

    Interesting choices .... YAM xx
