TAKE TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN

Wings on Wednesday -

YAM's take on the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright hilarious in respect to photographing birds.

A Bharadwaj (common coucal) from my window at Sandeepany.  I love how the black feathers can reflect the light and look blue - it properly explains the word/name, 'krishna'.  It's all in the angle, the point of view...

Take with the 'Nik' on auto everything and 8x optical zoom.

  3. Actually, I think he's a handsome bird. I'd never know he had "common" in his name.

  4. He is a very handsome fellow, I love those colors. Looking at the lower feathers I can see how the light makes them look blue.

I joined you this week for wings but on my other blog. It's the first time I'm posted a bird in awhile.

  5. Hari OM
Bill - yes quite exotic for a common bird!

Sylvia & Joanne - he is and he knows it!

SQ - rather stunning, the photo does not really capture the sheen. Thanks for the link up and your shot is delightful!
