TAKE TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY FIVE

Monday's Critters

Every one knows, (don't they?), that the cow is held very sacred in India.  They get to go exactly where they want.  Or lie.  Whatevaaaaa...

(Do you know, I never noticed till posting this that there was one horn missing?)

Taken with the 'Nik' on auto and lens extended to about 3x.

  1. Roast Beef comes to mind over here. Wonder why they hold them scared

  2. He looks deep in thought -- maybe he's wondering what happened to his other horn, too! Hope you're ready for a great new week!!

Bill - eeeek! You WOULD have them running "scared"! Seriously though, the cow is the ultimate expression of utility and motherhood; producing milk to drink and dung to form fuel and fertiliser. The bulls they produce are neutered and the bullocks become the beasts of work - pulling ploughs, pulling carts, turning water winches... (Hmm perhaps there;s a post in this for 'MENO' blog...&*>)

Joanne - very attractive and I found the unusual brown very appealing - mostly the Brahmins are white/cream

Sylvia - The Brahmin cattle do seem to have a very philosophical look!
