TAKE SIX

Monday's Critters

The Indian squirrel shows lots of similarity to a chipmunk but the way they travel the tree-ways is rather closer to a sugar possum - they act like they've got wings.  Maybe it's being up there with all the birds...  Or may be Sarah J. Parker has it right - "Squirrels are just rats with more expensive coats".  Ookaaayy.  Taken with the 'Nik' on auto focus at 12x optical zoom.

  1. Aw, he is a sweet looking little fellow. And so tiny compared to the Fox squirrels we have here.

Karen and SquirrelQueen - why thank you ladies! Lovely to have you visit

Yes SQ - these are smaller than most squirrels I have seen around the globe; though the Red Squirrel in Scotland (under threat) is perhaps about the same or a tad longer.

    Happy Monday!
