Monday's Critters
The Indian squirrel shows lots of similarity to a chipmunk but the way they travel the tree-ways is rather closer to a sugar possum - they act like they've got wings. Maybe it's being up there with all the birds... Or may be Sarah J. Parker has it right - "Squirrels are just rats with more expensive coats". Ookaaayy. Yes SQ - these are smaller than most squirrels I have seen around the globe; though the Red Squirrel in Scotland (under threat) is perhaps about the same or a tad longer.
