Saturday Symmetry
On a long train ride from Brisbane to Noosa, there were lots of interesting views... just not the weather to see most of them. The symmetry of this station fencing, backed buy the pattern of empty pallets behind caught my eye. Behind is the fiery poinciana and a glimpse of one of the Glass House Mountains.

Female Net-Casting Spider. Several of these under the eaves in OZ! The don't build a permanent web, but literally create one on their forelegs to swing through the air and catch the prey.

Noosa, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, is quite a posh sort of place. For their Christmas decoration, they placed glowing 'fruit' on trees of the main street. When riding in a car going over speed bumps, these become something else again...

Not the sharpest shot, but did have the Fudge's lens fully stretched... and it was a grey, cold day in the land down under... This is a Rainbow Lorikeet, very common birds and cheeky little chappies!

Would you believe that the number of 'sun'days whilst I was in OZ were countable on the fingers and thumbs of both hands? It was predominantly overcast /raining, cool and windy!!! However, was able to catch this sunrise through a friend's window dressings...

Low tide on the Hawkesbury River, NSW... tucked away in the mangroves, a long distance from where I was standing, the red hull caught my eye. Full length of the Fudge's lens, slightly over-exposed, but here's a threesome left high and dry.

You were warned the pickings were slim!!!
I took one of my many stuffed critters with me to OZ - necessary small for packing purposes. 'Eric' is the gift I received for sponsoring Isaac, the guide dog puppy, through his training (he's doing very well!!!) This is us on a long train trip... The little fella on the right is Ted E Bear, a keyring pal.

Having been away in OZ for the last couple of months, you'd think I would have returned with many a new critter shot.... wouldn't you? 'Fraid not. I just really wasn't out and about in the right sort of places in my too-short visit. I did manage a few though. So here's the first for 2016!
Meet Remus, the miniature Fox Terrier, family member and cuddle-pooch extraordinaire...
