Monday's Critters - a bouquet of bugs!!
The moth above is only an inch long!
the one to the right about the same size...
resembles a delta wing bomber doesn't it?!
"Flight Amber Sienna Alpha ready for take off"
Another ready for the runway - tiger moth??!
...and then a mega-fly. Nearly an inch long and enormous golden eyes. Not your average house pest this one.

take on the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright hilarious in respect to
photographing birds.
Woo-hoooooo! This marks the end of four months since "TAKE" took flight... and here is one of the more comical attempts at capturing the moment of launch of a black kite. Sigh. Late again.
Taken with the 'Nik' on auto exposure and extended to the full 26x optical plus 4x digital zoom, hence the graininess.
(Have got to anticipate the launch before it actually happens!)

Rebuttal. Milvus Migrans Govinda - the Indian Black Kite variant which is actually a golden brown. Jan/Feb are the 'frisky' months... this female is protecting herself by resting by an 'armed guard'! the male had several attempts but then thought better of it.
