Shipping by...

At Felixstowe last summer, one of the many ships spotted plying the busy waterway was the "Francop". She was familiar to me, as she has been photographed from the Hutch a couple of times, plying the waters of the Clyde. She has also got quite the history.

  1. So you normally see this ship on Scotland and now it turns up in Felixstowe when YOU are there!?!?
Oh nose Aunty Yam, I finks the 'Francop' is STALKING you!!!!
    Loves and lucky kisses

  2. Hello,

I had a giggle over the comment above about this ship stalking you.. Great shot. Enjoy your Tuesday!

  3. I think Princess Leah is 100% correct you are being stalked by Francop!!
    She does have a history
    Hugs HiC

  4. Hmmm, who is stalking whom? BOL - that's a handsome ship!!!

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  5. A nice looking vessel...great capture!

  6. Wouldn't it be nice if no ship had to carry surreptitious arms so that humans can continue to kill each other? I am starting to believe that war is our favourite sport.

Oh I have never been under the illusion that Man is anything other than a destructive critter (await a future post on that one)... but more than that, Man is a greedy being, without concern for fellow kind or other living creature, as long as it turns a buck.

Doesn't stop me loving ships - and the fact that if ships stopped running, the economies of the entire globe would crash. Virtually everything we own has arrived by sea - even sometimes the things
'made in Ca/UK/Aust', etc. because they go away to be packaged - cheaper than home labour a materials. One of the interesting facts I learned recently is that Scottish fish is sent to China for 'processing' before being returned as 'catch of the day'. 8~0
Another good reason for being a vegetarian! Yxx
